Match gauge to amperage and length. GFCI outdoors. Indoor-rated cords outdoors are how you get heat and trips. If the manual specifies a circuit, believe it.
Adding a shorter version: do the checklist in the accepted answer, then wait 15–30 minutes before retrying. Most “it still failed” reports I see are immediate retries.
