Accounts and sign-in

When you sign in with Google or LinkedIn, KlaritiQ receives the profile details those providers share for account creation (typically name, email, and avatar). We store those fields on your account and do not sell them. Public profiles show display name, bio, avatar, and reputation — not your email or roles.

Sessions and cookies

Signed-in sessions use an HTTP-only cookie named klaritiq_session. Guests can browse public content; a guest cookie may be set so view counts and recommendations stay consistent without an account. You can sign out at any time. Deactivating your account anonymizes profile fields, deletes linked OAuth methods, and invalidates sessions.

Usage signals

Question views, searches, topic visits, saves, follows, votes, asks, and answers may be recorded to rank “Recommended for you,” improve ranking, and time the optional sign-in prompt. We do not invent feed data for display.

AI features

When AI helpers are enabled, text you submit for improve, duplicate detection, or first-answer generation is sent to the configured model provider to produce a response. High-risk topics (medical, legal, financial, immigration, or safety) show a general-information disclaimer. AI answers are not professional advice.

Moderation and safety

Reports, hides, locks, and related moderation actions are stored so staff can keep the community usable. Do not post personal data you are not willing to make public in a Q&A setting.

Analytics

KlaritiQ uses Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-VP5G07D7CX) to understand page views and product events such as starting Google sign-in. IP addresses are anonymized and Google ads signals are disabled. Set NEXT_PUBLIC_GA_MEASUREMENT_ID=off at build time to disable measurement.
