Scaled score vs percent correct on CompTIA Security+

Question

My CompTIA Security+ report shows a scaled score, not a percentage. I already screenshotted the error and the account email so I am not going from memory.

Vendors equate forms of different difficulty. Passing is a standard, not “70% of items.” Compare to the published cut score for that exam, and ignore unofficial spreadsheets.

Adding a shorter version: do the checklist in the accepted answer, then wait 15–30 minutes before retrying. Most “it still failed” reports I see are immediate retries.
